Hey guys, so for our CBL project, Kenna, Connor, Jonny, and I (Nolan) all had an interest in diabetes. After coming together as a group, we began to discover our unique abilities that will contribute to group success, so we came together, and found ways to work efficiently.
We started off this week by simply putting down our ideas on paper, and getting them out of our heads to see which direction we would go in. First, on a large poster, we each created questions, wrote details, key words and phrases, and came up with ideas that branched off of the others. After, each group member read an article and took notes using a site called Noodletools, which lets members of the group see everyone’s work and allows us to participate together. Then, we did a little more research to give us a better idea of what diabetes was and what we are dealing with. We finally decided to go, specifically, with Type 2 diabetes, rather than diabetes as a whole. After which, we read more articles, and took even more notes. Although we have just started this vast project, we haven't run into many problems, difficulties, or many arguments.
Our group has been able to make easy, mutual decisions about what direction we will carry this project in, already suggesting future success as a team. And the reason we are taking this project the way it's going is because we think that it is very important that we make the quality of diabetic lives improve, especially since it is one of America’s leading causes of death. What we have done this week, although simple, is necessary as it is the base and the launching point for the rest of our project.
